Plasma cutting
An unbeatable cost/benefit ratio, high cutting speeds and extremely precise cut edges on material thicknesses from 1 - 150 mm are the particular advantages of this modern cutting process.
By ionizing gases using electrical energy, this process creates a constricted arc that melts the material with its high thermal energy and the kinetic energy of the plasma gas, and pushes the molten metal out of the kerf. The focused plasma jet delivers high-precision cutting results. All conductive materials such as construction steel, stainless steel and aluminium can be processed.
ESAB CUTTING SYSTEMS has developed this third-generation plasma cutting system that enables you at last to meet all the challenges of plasma cutting economically. For example, you can use the same power source to mark from 12 amperes and cut with up to 720 amperes. Now you just need one system to handle all cutting and marking tasks without elaborate tool changes. Our system is excellent for use on cutting robots, pipe cutting, conventional plasma cutting and water injection cutting.
